Actuary Reference and explanation


Actuary is a statistical expert who specializes in analysis. In case of an insurance company, an actuary will be responsible for evaluating applications and applicant’s medical data in order to predict life expectancy, risk of death and other probabilities such as major accidents etc.

To put simply, an actuary is an intensively educated professional who uses knowledge and statistical data to make future predictions based on data collected from past happenings and events that may influence the future in one way or the other.
